About me and my project | Editly

Hi, I'm Vansh, 21 years old, and I built Editly.

I'm from Ghaziabad, UP, India, currently living in my hostel room at IIT Bombay, where I'm pursuing Chemical Engineering. I don't go to classes—I stay here because of the environment, the peace, and the weather I prefer over my home. I also don't connect with the people in my home locality, so I'll leave college once I hit a milestone I've set in my mind.

My company (to be renamed to Editly AI Pvt. Ltd. in the future) is registered in Noida, UP in a coworking space, functioning as a virtual office.

I have no extraordinary talent or unfair advantage. I'm just a simple kid who loves to build things and travel to unexplored or less explored places.

How I started?

I was working on a different tool and was about to launch it. I recorded a launch video, but when I went to edit it, it took me 3 hours—and it still came out bad.

That's when I realized what I should work on. I thought: why not build an autonomous video editor that could handle complete video editing with just a single prompt?

That idea became Editly. My end goal is simple but ambitious: replace video editing entirely.

Why "Editly"?

It directly reflects what I'm trying to achieve—an editor, but effortless. When I was on X, I noticed a lot of people creating tools with names ending in "ly," and it sounded good for several reasons.
